Stormwater management

Our alternative stormwater drainage concepts focus on the sustainable, ecologically integrated management of precipitation water. This has priority over discharge into a central sewer network. The objective here is the design of a stormwater drainage system that is perfectly adapted to the local conditions. However, the drainage standard must not be inferior to conventional drainage through combined or separate systems.

We have contributed to the brochure “Naturnahe Regenwasserbewirtschaftung – Zukunftsfähige Wasserwirtschaft in Industrie- und Gewerbegebieten” issued by the Ministry for Environment and Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. This brochure describes a number of implemented projects and gives an overview of the planning aspects, realization and costs of near-natural stormwater management in industrial and commercial areas.
